About the Role
Manage and maintain BBT's website, ensuring it effectively communicates the organization's mission, programs, and impact in the post-war rehabilitation and reconstruction field.
Oversee website design, layout, and functionality, ensuring a user-friendly experience for visitors.
Regularly update website content, including news, project updates, success stories, and relevant resources.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather and create engaging multimedia content for the website, such as photos, videos, and infographics.
Optimize website performance, including page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance visibility and reach.
Monitor website analytics and generate reports to assess user engagement, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
Ensure website compliance with relevant accessibility standards, data protection regulations, and security protocols.
Implement and manage online donation mechanisms and fundraising campaigns on the website.
Stay informed about emerging web technologies, design trends, and best practices to enhance the website's functionality and user experience.
Collaborate with external web development vendors or contractors, if necessary, to address technical issues or implement advanced features.
Requirements
Proven experience as a website manager or similar role, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.
Strong understanding of website management principles, including content management systems (CMS) and web analytics.
Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS) and familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with optimizing websites for search engine visibility.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain and update website content regularly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey BBT's mission and impact through the website.
Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) is desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage external web development resources.
Bachelor's degree in web development, computer science, communications, or a related field is preferred.
