About Tigray
Tigray is an ancient land that features historically abundant, religiously devout and heroically legendary sites. Most of Semetic Ethiopia’s proudest claims of identity, history and victories come from Tigray. It was the epicenter of dynasties, the bed of rulers and remains to this day the land of humble heroes.
About The War
Tigray is a peaceful region determined to reduce poverty and improve the lives of its people until the current Prime Minister came to power in March 2018. Tigray welcomed Abiy Ahmed with enthusiasm hoping he will continue improving the lives of Ethiopians and Tigrayans. To everyone’s dismay, however, the situation took an unexpected turn. On November 4, 2020, Ethiopians learned that Ethiopia, Eritrea, and the Amhara regional state jointly launched a war on Tigray with the pretext of “law enforcement.”
